Does the Ford Focus (2004/5) play MP3 CDs ?
I got a mate with one of these on order and he is keen to put a pc in, but first wants to know if the factory radio / cd plays mp3 cds ?
Anyone ?

I had an SE as a rental, and it didnt play mp3s. There could be different head units available from the factory though.

It is an option. From Ford's website:
AM/FM single CD/MP3 player with clock, 4 speakers (standard on SE models only)

Do you mean the new one just released across Europe???
http://www.ford.co.uk/ns7/foc_c307/-/-
rather than the 'old focus' (like mine) still on sale in the US (with another face lift)
(UK) Audio Options....

I think its the new one but it could be a facelift, it looks softer, smaller lights, less "EDGE" styling, quite bland actually
Its the turbodiesel if that helps, there is a MP3 shuttle option but he hasnt chosen that as he is keen on the carpc but it will be a while before he gets the carpc going in the car, so he is keen to know about mp3 compatability
Cheers
I will get a pic and post it here soonest

The ford focus can play MP3's the ones in the US anyways, If you got that option. There are alot of them out there. The radio is distinct.. .. it has an LCD screen on it that looks different than the other ones.
