Question Aux input for Sony head unit?

Hi,

Can the CD multichanger input for my Sony XR-C450RDS be used as an auxillary input for say, a portable mp3 player?

If not, are there any other options?

Thanks a lot

Joe

The model is...

Sony XR-C450RDS

I havent pulled the head unit out but according to the installation booklet, there are two inputs for the changer: bus control in and bus auidio in. The audio input is 2xRCA (dont know if standard size) and the control input is a single plug of some form.

Thanks

Joe

thanks - whats the reason for requiring this box? I was hoping that the RCA input was a line level input; is this not the case?

Thanks again

well it is and isn't .....it is the input for the bus control....in order to use it you have to have this box which will connect to the but control and the bus input rca's on the back of the HU...then there are rca inputs and a usb input on the box that you can plug any audio device into...
