No aux on pioneer?

Well i have a pioneer deck, deh-p740mp, and i bought the cable that turns the cd changer port into an aux port, but i cannot find a way to switch to aux.

In the instructions it says to hit func until aux becomes available and turn it on? I tried but there is no aux button whatsoever.

Any ideas?

there is an option when you access the menu when the headunit is off. You have to push one of the buttons...access the menu, then scroll to aux and turn it on.

yeah, turn the unit off, then press and hold the function or source button untill the time comes up flashing, then use the arrow keys to get to aux on or off

Ok, Yesterday I had the same problem and after reading the pioneer manual I discovered that you have to power-off the radio and then press the function key until a message appear on the dispolay.
Now my problem is another-one I hear the music just from the rear speakers for the radio and CD everything works fine, I tried everything but no music from all the speakers... I changed all the settings but nothing happened, I changed the RCA cable, I tried other sources .... nothing
any idea ?
thanks

The pioneer manual says nothing about shutting the unit down first, so before you start running your mouth before reading up on things yourself you should consider a thought process.

Each mode has its own audio properties saved(cross overs, fade, balance, ect). Sounds like some one jacked you tuner settings. If you can't figure it out disconnect your battery to reset the radio.
