I am new to this forum and was looking for some advice. I have been doing quite a bit of research but have been unable to find an answer thus far. I have a 2002 Audi A6 with the Audi Bose Symphony factory stereo (without navigation). I have found that the sound quality is less than stellar and wanted to upgrade. Due to the look and feel of the red display throughout the vehicle, I don't want to remove the factory deck but would like to add an aftermarket amplifier to provide better power the factory speakers. Again, the main reason for this is that the factory BOSE system distorts when you turn it up and doesn't sound very good.
So, basically I guess I'm wondering a few things:
1) Is there any wiring adapter, similar to the item in the link below, which will enable me to "plug in" an aftermarket amplifier to existing factory wiring, kind of like a wiring harness for aftermarket receivers? (Since you don't cut any wires, like a wiring harness, so you keep the factory warranty)

2) Will this provide better sound quality, even though it is still being routed through the factory system?
Thank you for any input you can provide!
