Audio Brain Fart (doh!)

Ok get ready for it...


If I have 2 10" subs can I run a one channel amplifier (like the Alpine MRD-M301) for both of them. I understands it is not going to be super bass intense, but I just want to ensure it is possible.

yes, you have to make sure the impedances match. do you know what the impedance of each voice coil on the subs are? and do you know what the lowest impedance the amp can handle? let us know that and wwe can help you more

they are two Pioneer IMPP 10" Subs (waiting to be replaced but will have to do for now)....not sure about anything in the audio department tech wise.

how about model #'s? i'm guessing they are single voice coil (only one set of speaker leads to connect too) and i'd be guessing they are 4 ohms a piece. if they are then you would need an amp that is 2 ohm stable which most mono amps are.

Scott is correct. How about you just post up the model numbers of mp and subs...much easier to give you an exact answer that way.
