Opinion for Amp

Has anyone heard anything bad about Phoniex Gold 5 channel Octane series amp.

Looking for a good priced 5 channel to run everything. Will spend between 200-500 on the amp. But the less money I spend the more I have for other things

what specs are you looking for? Whattage, etc. Are you looking for a sub channel or are you just running the speakers for a 5.1 setup?

I have used many Phoenix Gold amps and never had a problem. Check into this amp from DEI http://www.viper.com/audio/amps/default.asp#multi the 2205. I am not sure how much the Octane is but the DEI could be another option for you. I had one in my old truck and it was fantastic.

I am Looking for a 5.1 Setup. Atleast 75-100 RMS for the front, rear and center channel. and 300-500 RMS for the Sub channel. This Audiobahn A5100T for 569.00 is the closest I have found so far. Here is a link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

I have also looked @ the link below and the 2205. That is a bad A$$ amp. But out of my price range. Unless they can be had from other places. Anyone know of any 4.1 amps?

Get two Alpine F345s of eBay and set them up for 5.1. That will give you 75W x 5 and 300W x 1. It will cost about $530.00 shipped.

I was trying to avoid using two amps. You have to wire twice as much and it drains your car bad doesnt it. Having two amps and a carputer would kill your battery and alternator. If I did use two amp how could I save my electrical system besides a Cap? Also that amp cant run a sub that I would like to get. Thanks for the suggestion though. Any more?
