Angry Help

I got a 2001 Passat with the "advanced" audio system..now it didn't even have a cd player on it and I was very disappointed. So I ran to my local bestbuy to buy a CD changer, I thought that would make this all better. The Changer is a blue "Neo Changer" that holds 10 disc's. But every time I burn a cd using CD-R and CD-RW It wont read it. What am I doing wrong? does anyone know?

how are you burning the cd's. You will need to use something like nero to burn it into cd format (normal cd mode). From the websearches I just did, I don't think it reads MP3's so copying the music onto CD won't work

Well it has on the changer...

MP3
CD-RW

So it should be able to take that right?

How are you burning the CD's?

Data with MP3?
Audio CD?

What software are you using? Are you 'finishing' the CDs?

are you using el-cheapo media? if so, try some quality media. also, make sure you try CD-R before CD-RW, I know older units couldn't read CD-RW.

also make sure you're starting off with AUDIO cd, not Data with MP3s on it. The changer may be able to read MP3 cds, but there may be a limitation with the head unit.

Good thinking..I could try that..Well its the monsoon system if that says anything. I want to replace it with a different head unit but I love the colors of the vw radio.

The monsoon system isnt the portion that is reading the CDs, its the neochanger. So back to what the other guys were saying it could be the media your using, the way you burn your CDs, the software you are using to burn your CDs, could even be the type of burner your using on your PC
