A Few questions about Digital Sound with a Carpc

After my search's and you carpc'ers answering my questions. It seems that playing music through a Digital connection using the motherboard or the soundcards SPDIF OUT is the way to go for SQ in the CarPc. that said and done I will be powering my 2 jl w6v2 12inch and my cdtaudio es620 component's through a digital connect. I wanted to know if a linedriver would be useful in this setup below.

carpc--->audiobahn dac----->audiocontrol linedriver----->amps is that pointless or does the audiobahn dac boost the voltage? im driving to see if it's worth it to spend this money to get digital sound..you know i can care less about movies..i just want my cd's to play "the same or better" as they do with my currently alpine h/u....I hear spdif is the only way to go..also are their any line drivers that have digital in and analog out? let me know as the audiobahn is $300+ and the alpine pxa-h701 is like $375..I see a ads-4000 for like $100 that has digital in's and analog outs..what would be the downfall in getting the ads? thanks for the help.

most important question..are their line drivers that boost voltage and have digital input and analog outputs. thanks!!

audiobahn dac?

do you have a link to this unit that you speak of?

(in general, if it has audiobahn on it, it's not going to be good for SQ....and you said you wanted SQ.....)

the alpine unit that you speak of is JUST the processor, you will need the display if you want to be able to tune the unit at all....

do you have a link to the ADS-4000 as well?

The display controller for the Alpine Processor, is it just the faceplate or does it have to go into a din slot? What I mean is, does it take the actual spot or you head unit or is it just the face plate that can be mounted anywhere?

I don't know about the 4000 since it's ment for home audio...not sure it would handle the car environment all that well...

as for the audiobahn...ick....I'm not going to remomend anything audiobahn....I can't stand their stuff

might consider something like this??

http://www.arcaudio.com/arc-05/processors/peq.htm

or one of their other products....

no need for the sound card if your mobo has SPDIF out

it's really easy to hook up, but the tuning can be a bit tricky if you don't know what you are doing....it does come with a mic that will get an approximate tune for you...

it's honnestly the best piece avaliable for the money, hands down....I know a LOT of people on here will agree with that

this arc audio will give me digital sound? it has digital in and analog out? this is really my main prob, ive read all along the boards and i cannot find a "definite" answer..i hear for good sound quality in a car pc..3 things must be done

1. higher voltage with line drivers
2. use SPDIF/DIGITAL for premium sound
3. equalizers.

AM I going to need "3" devices for premium sound??? or is their one device that does it all..or do i need two? people keep telling me about DAC's but nobody knows which brand that is proven..please help me solve my dilema..credit card # itching to order..so far ive ordered my Xenarc 7" TSV screen..
