1- The stock amp should be bypassed, it uses GM specific connectors from what I have seen and so yea. I am working on mine here this coming week and will be removing it. The HU will be relocated to the trunk (note by removing the HU you are removing a lot of functionality and things like door chimes. Your car "control" menu is accesses through *only* the stuck HU, things like whether the headlights flash when you lock the doors, or if it honks when you lock etc. etc.) For these reasons I am relocating it to the rear in the PC case.
Then an aftermarket HU is being added to the rear as well, and I will be installing a touchscreen in the perfect double-din HU slot. Search the "Show of your work" forum for "Monte Carlo" there are two, one sucks, one is *really* nice. I don't see why people have you bypass the stock amp (gotta rewire some things) maybe thats just if keeping the stock HU (thought couldnt you just unplug it? lol).
You can find *a lot* more at
www.MyMonte.com great forums, and we could always use another CarPC bro =D
2- Don't think its possible to split 2-way sound into 4. You can get a 4.1/5.1/etc. sound card though?
3- Use DC-DC =D

1. on the stock amp in the trunk what wire goes to what? so that I can wire to the new amp I have a Clarion APA450 which will drive the midrange speakers.
2. any ideas on splitting the 2 channel out from the pc to 4 channnel so that I can still control front/rear , left/right?
3. what is the best way to make sure there is no inverter whine or other engine noise in the sound?
Thanks,
