help with 1/0 wire compression unions

hi all thanks for looking...
I am looking for a 1/0 wire compression unions does anyone know where to get these online?.It looks like it is about 6" long you tighen up the nuts to hold the wires together then it looks like there is some thick heat shrink tubing on it also.

I have never seen aything like that before....might try an electrical supply house locally?

one of those places where you would have to talk to an electrician to find the supply house...

otherwise, why not solder it? or even better! a distribution block, one with fuses even!

You are best off purchaseing automotive distribution blocks. They come in a variety of configurations. They are by far the most reliable way of extending and tapping off connections. They are available at any good Car Audio shop or on line.

The picture looks much like the connectors for submersible water pumps. Last time I bought mine at Home Depot. The heatshrink has a glue inside it that makes the connection water tight.
