Is this possible?

Hi im new to this whole Carpc thing, im good with computers but im bad with cars therefore i dont know anything or how it all works in side neather how its connected so my question is, Is it possible to connect my carpc to an existing audio system ( i have a mersedes benz c240 2002).

if anyone can please explain how it how its all connected in benz/all cars and 1 more thing, im plannig on getting couple subs in my trunk with amp and all that, and my question again is is it possible to connect all that to a carpc and still be able to use the audio interface thing (sorry i dont know the name its where u choose songs fast foward volume etc) which came with c240 and the 6cd changer which also came with it and somehow switch to make all audio work with carpc.

thanks in advance.... i hope i explained it right, im bad at that

Wire the Audio Out from the PC sound card to Aux In of the existing head unit. Then you may select the aux in at the head unit whenever you want to route the audio from the PC to your existing audio system. Some HU has 1/8 inch socket at the front panel. If not you may find the AUX IN RCA on the back of the existing head unit. Hope its there.

Seem that with the Car PC you don't even need your HU anymore. The Car PC with a good Audio Interface much more powerfull than any HU. You can play anything including Karaoke in your car. You can put the PC in the trunk and extent the cables for the monitor, USB HUB, Firewire and other. The Power amp also in the trunk due to make the audio cable as short as possible. Configure a multi channels. Use external Audio Interface might be better... then put the box / panel at the existing HU place. Very user friendly, isn't it? Especially for Infotaintment people.
Try it. Good luck.

Yes! That's why I'm observing a moment of silence.

It only takes one thoughtless joker to ruin a wonderful resource that so many could benefit from.

I guess the sig is getting old. Perhaps I'll convert to Flying Spaghetti Monsterism.
