Mac Mini in Scion Tc, No Output from Sub

I have removed the stock HU from my Scion tC and replaced with a Mac Mini and Xenarc 700TSV touchscreen. Everything went well except now I have no output coming from the factory sub...how could this be?

I have the Mac Mini speaker outputs wired into a Pioneer GM-6100F amp via RCA. The speaker outputs from the amp are wired back to the factory harness. I have outputs coming from all speakers except the factory sub.

Where am I going wrong? The factory sub is supposed to takes its input off of the rear speakers--but if this is true, then how can I have sound from the rear speakers and no output from the sub? I have tried playing with different volumes and gains on the sub and amp. Also, enabling the LPF on the amp produces some low outputs from the speakers but still no output from the sub.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Subs taking the input from the rear speakers? Never heard of that...sounds like a crossover type thing. BUT IMO you are either misinformed or someone wired the Scion strangely.

Where are you outputs from the Mini coming from? PCI card or what?

And with that question comes, where is the output from the MINI that is labeled SUBWOOFER?

You say you have it connected from MINI --> Amp thru RCAs

Is that just a pair? One left one right? Or is it dual pairs Front left/right, Rear left/right?

Either way you have NO subwoofer output as far as I can see from the MINI or the AMP?

A 4 channel amp will only power your 4 speakers, YOU CANT RUN SUBWOOFERS FROM YOUR SETUP!!!!

Where do you expect the subs to get their signal from?

Sounds like you need to power the subs FROM the AMP, meaning you need a seperate SUB channel on the amp...do you...no.

Subs need power, and you arent giving it to them.
Either run the rear channels of your amp to the subs and split the front 2 channels into both front and rear with a y-cable. OR buy a seperate mono amp for the subs.

I have a 2 channel amp that is presently running my two front speakers (in stereo) and my sub, bridged, in mono. Give me a bridgable 4 channel amplifier and I'll run 4 speakers plus 2 subs in the same config.

Where do you expect the subs to get their signal from? Line level from rear speakers

Sounds like you need to power the subs FROM the AMP, meaning you need a seperate SUB channel on the amp...do you...no.Need to determine where the sub taps in and if it has its own internal amplifier. If it has an amp, make sure its turning on.

Subs need power, and you arent giving it to them.

My guess is that the factory sub has a factory amplifier. Somehow you cut the turn on for that amp.

As a tC owner and person who has ripped it apart more times than I care to disclose, they're right.

There is another wire from the factory harness for the turnon of the sub, it's not spliced into the rears.

The harness you pulled out of the far right square was the sub output. You'll need to splice into those wires to provide them power/ground/turn on.
