Hi!

I just bought an Epia M-10000 here at mp3car.com. I received it one week ago and it was working correctly, except the sound... There was always a strange sound comming from my speakers even when there was no music playing. I knew onboard sound wasn't excellent but not like that, I was kinda dispointed...

But now it's worst!! Yesterday I tried to plug my microphone in the mic input, and when I plugged it, the computer rebooted!! Since that, I can't get any sound from it. Even the strange sound I was hearing at the beginning...
It's like if there has benna short circuit somewhere...

Is there someone who ever encountered this thing?? Is there anything to do with that?

i think this is more a hardware type post (maybe wrong section), but have you done any troubleshooting? is the mainboard in a case? have you tried to remove any other hardware you can remove and get it right down to the basics to make sures it not something that is incompatible causing a conflict?

I checked everything, and I don't think there is any conflicts. The sound card was working before it happened. Also, Windows detects my sound card normally (even after reinstalling it), and the other programs too works like if it was working..

Anyway, this **** is so weird and I didn't like the sound when it was working, so I bought an usb soundcard! Can't wait to try it!!
