Please Double Check My Wiring...

This is my first install and I was wondering if someone might be kind enough to check over my headunit wiring. I have a 2005 Chevrolet Impala and in order to replace the stock headunit you need this interface:
http://www.cardomain.com/item/PERGMCO

I will be installing an Alpine CDA-9830 headunit and am trying to mate the two together. I have connected red to red, yellow to yellow, and black to black. On the GMCO side, I am left with four RCA ends which I have taped off(for speakers), two orange leads and a blue lead. Do I not need these?

On the Alpine end, I have taped off all the speaker leads due to the fact that I am running new speaker wiring directly to the speakers from the amps, a blue power antenna lead, and a pink/black lead which the manual refers to as "AUDIO INTERRUPT>TO VEHICLE PHONE"

The part I wanted to make sure about was the blue/white remote lead from the Alpine harness is the one I need to run for the remote turn on. If I have two amps, do I run the one wire to the first amp and then splice the wire for the second amp?

Please comment if my wiring scheme above is appropriate. Should I tape off the 2 orange and 1 blue wires on the GMCO? Thanks!

You sound like you got it to me. You probly don't need the illumination wire and it's fine to splice the remote a time or two. I wouldn't splice the remote to more then say 3 amps, after that it's best to use that wire to a relay and then to the amps.

The only thing that concerns me is that the remote is only coming out of the headunit harness, not the harness that plugs into the dash (GMCO)

If I understand you right, thats because you have neither a factory amp nor power ant, so the car doesn't have anything that needs to turn on with the HU.

Well, I do have a factory amp but I am bypassing it by replacing the stock speakers and running new speaker wires from the amp directly to the speakers.

It's pretty cool, but I used the GMCO to replace my factory headunit so I would no longer need it in the car.
