Hey everyone.

I was just reading through some threads about multiple amps and things like that. I have two amps that I'm not currently using and I've been wanting to get rid of the stupid crackle that I get when at high volumes with my stock speakers.

My current items are:
Local brand 600 watt 4 channel with crossovers built in
Profile California 600 watt 2 channel with simple crossover for low-frequency built in
Rockford Fosgate Punch 75HD (oldschool ) 2 channel amp (would probably be used for rear speakers or not at all)
Alpine 9825 Deck with 3 pre-amp outs (front, rear, subs)
2 Kicker Freeair 10's in a ported box
2 Pioneer 100 watts RMS 6.5's in the rear
2 Stock front 6.5's in the doors (front)

My car is a 98 cavalier coupe.

I do realize I'm not dealing with the most up-to-date or best stuff here. I can't complain, a lot of it was given to me. I'm a poor high school senior . However, I want to do with this, what I can. I was thinking that buying some nice components for the front and leaving the rear pioneer's in but at a low fade, just for extra background sound. I may not even need the rear speakers, I realize it is all in preference.

I would power the front components with the 4 channel amp and also power the rear speakers with the 4 channel, if I used them.
I would power my subs with the Profile amp that I have.

My main concerns are the following:
1. Will my car's stock electrical system be able to handle the draw of the two 600 watt amps?
2. Will I get the light dims when my subs thump like I do with my head unit's built in amp, or is this just the head unit's lack of decent amp and if I use the 4 channel to power the speakers, will this cut down on the fading of my headlights, dome light, etc?
3. Should I use a distro. block for the two 600 watt amps and mount them both on my sub box? (Could be pointless to mount the 4 channel in the rear if I am only going to be using it for the front speakers)
4. Should I just use the RF Punch75HD I have for the front speakers? (This is only 27.5, I believe, RMS. However, this amp was one of the clearest, so my father said before he gave it to me, amps he has used - even with it being low power.
5. Any recomendations for a setup?
6. Do I even use the 4 channel to power the speakers or just stick with my head unit's 17.5 (I think) RMS output? After all, I have 3 sets of pre-amps and the amps just sitting there, waiting to be used - why not use them?
7. I listen to Hip-Hop, Rap and some Rock here and there - can anyone reccomend a certain brand or model of components to use for the front? (I do know that this is all personal favor, but I have not even began to look around for them yet - just taking reccomendations)

Yes, I know there are many, many, many threads on this and I have looked through a very high number of them. I just figured I'd type of a thread with my personal details in it, as to maybe get better advice and ideas.

I thank you for reading and any advice or constructive criticism you shall provide for me. Also, I apologize for any spelling and/or grammar errors you may have read.

If there is any more information you may need/want or have any questions for me in order to produce decent advice/suggestions, please just ask!

first of all i didn't read the whole post.
second, at high volumes ANY speaker is gonna start distorting. doesn't matter. it's caused by clipping. the speaker is having a harder time playing the frequencies at higher volumes cuz the low-end starts rolling off and it can't cleanly produce the sound as good. turn your music down. that's the first problem. i'll re-edit this post second time around. peace. also, amping your speakers is gonna GREATLY improve the sound quality and get a cleaner and stronger signal to the speakers. you'll hear them jump to life. amp your speakers.

ok. use the 4 channel amp to power all 4 speakers. hu power ain't ****. i'd get a better amp for the subs. pyle is literally ****. upgrade that amp at least. and you're stock electrical will handle 600w no prob. my 98 escort had minimal light dimming with 1500rms running off my stock alt. use a minimum of 4ga power and ground wires. yes use a distro block for the amps. run either 2 or 4 gauge to the distro, then either 4 or 8 to the amps and you should be fine. get a fused distro tho. it'll protect the wires (and the amps if the amps aren't fused). also fuse by the battery to protect the wire from burning your car to the ground if it shorts. keep the ground wires less than 3 feet. if you have multiple items to ground, use a ground distro to prevent alt whine and all that.

the size fuses you need are based solely on power x voltage=amps. the fuse by the battery needs to equal the total power being drawn from both amps. also pyle, sony, jvc, dual, lightning audio, kenwood, and the newer fosgate amps are all overrated. so is power acoustik. hifonics tend to mess up alot. go with kicker, jl, diamond, memphis, phoenix gold, elemental designs, alpine, etc.

mb quart, re, cdt all make good component speakers (also look into the alpine type r components).

i can't really recommend any amps cuz idk the spec's on those subs. so idk what the rms is or the vc configuration. also they'd be better if they were free air but i'm sure that box will suffice. there was a lot to this so i hope i covered the basics to help you out.
