Connecting to speakers

Hi All,

Just wondering what most people here do to connect their Carcomputer to their car speakers. Obviously, the signal has to be amplified so I am assuming that the audio output from the soundcard would be connected to the input of the amplifier. What amplifiers does everyone use? Any help would be great.

Thanks

I'm really happy you made this post because I wanna just tell you to buy a quality amp. I tried to save money and by a cheap one so I would have money for the carPC parts, but it didn't turn out that way. I just got my cheap amp installed this weekend and am having a ton of engine noise:

Right now I'm looking for a quality amplifer and hope to get it installed soon. Then I'll be back on track with my carPC plans. Hope this helps and as far as suggestions, I'm looking at Sony or maybe Alpine.

Hey Will....the reason for the small number of posts is that i've just started this project. Only been a member since December 2005. Thanks for the advice anyway.

Matt....that's exactly what kind of advice I was looking for. Thanks for the feedback. Keep us informed of what you end up with. I'm looking at a Sony myself at the moment. Possibly a Pioneer.

Can anyone tell me what the quality of American Boss is like?

I have to agree a bit with Will. This a topic gone over many times and can be solved with an hour of just going over the forum.

there was a thread a little while back that i did an extensive post on this topic to help out someone. It should do you well.

ASk the nice people of Sounddomian, Will, JasonWW, or Red that. They'd know more than anyone else here.
