simple question i can't find an answer 2!!(did search!!)

hi i just installed my 4 channel amp
i got an onboard sound drive, how can i connect the sound from my pc to the amp. i got one of those normal headphone plugs that goes into a white and red plug. but this gives power to only 1 channel!! (i put the red in channel 1 and white in channel 2 inputs) i have plugged all 4 speakers into the amp and tested them to make sure they are the actual speakers.

i found a few 4 channel sound cards like this one http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=48179
but it still has the same output plug!! (headphone type)

can any1 help me please

thanks

normal headphone 3.5 plug has 3 segments you need one with 5 (never seen a 5 segment to phono but they might exist) or use a y spliter to increase your 2 channel outputs

hehe, about 5 years back, i bought an adapter for my hugh noise cancelling studio headphones and only one ear worked. I got ****ed and swapped out everything, including the headphones. To my embarrassment, alter on, i figured out the problem. The moral of the story: make sure you didn't buy mono .

Buy the sound card. It shoudl provide better sound anyways and if you have a 4 channel amp, its the best way to utilise all that the amp can give. Ofcourse, you can bridge the amp (use only two channels and it will power as a two channel amp) and run you speakers in parallel or serial (one side of your car on one output, the other on the other). That takes alot of effort and rewiring. Just get the soundcard.
