How to connect AMP to 4 channelsoundcard

As the building part of my project is finish, I am now working on the software.

I bought a 4 channels soundcard, because I want t be able to get all the sound to the back when my son is watching his movies.
Now I wanted to test the sound and pluged my headphone to the front output and I get sound.Problem is that if i plug the headphoen to the rearoutput no sound is comming out :?

For this idea I bought 2 jacks.-->RCA cables

Both cables have to go apart from eachother into the amp.

Is this suppose to work or is my soundcard not working good.
All drivers are installed and in the set up i put it on four speakers.

This is the Sweex 4 channel soundcard:

I use Media player to trie it out. Is this player able to get the sound to four speakers or do I need a different player :?

Int he Windows Control panel, there's a setting to choose what type of speaker setup you're using. Is that setup to use four speakers?

I know for my sound to mix to the rears I have to use the drivers from the vender and enable an option to mix front to rears when no actaully rear channel exists. You may want to look into that. Also I am having a problem with my front mixing 2 the rear for SOME audio sources. Try something different like a dvd and see if you have sound then.

Yeah, unless you have specific software that came with the card to 'create' audio for the rear channels, you won't hear anything. It's possible that you'll hear DVDs if you have a player that supports multichannel, like some versions of PowerDVD

Problem is that I dont have a DVD player to attach , so I can't test that.

I'm gonna see if the possibility is there in the drivers to mix the front to the rear
