for the wood go with 3/4 inch MDF
deminsions are 22x15x18
go 2 www.partsexpress.com and get a 4 inch diameter port and cut it down to 14.35 inches in length

Any 4 inch diameter port will do, as long as its the right length

Doesnt all these suggestions depend on what you want.. ???

W7 hits hard with bass, but your going to need a better amp for sure.

Never heard a ascendat audio arsenal, but looking at the site seems great, and at a reasonable price.

Anyway not to take this post off topic, but how does someone come across the specs for the best sub enclosure? Any big websites with all the information?

The L7 will just get loud and has very poor sound quality- arsenal is much better, id take 1 over a L5/L7 in a heartbeat!

i had a 2nd order bandpass in my old mini.. that was one of the smoothest and loudest 10's ive ever heard. people couldnt believe it was only a ten inch. so if u know what ur doing, GO BANDPASS! :P

main problem with bandpass is u dont get to see the actual speaker. meh.

it really does depend on ur specific situation.. ie how much room do u have.. how much power do u have.. and how much do u want to spend...

im looking at getting a Digital Design www.ddaudio.com sub... getting REALLY good reviews at the moment.. made in the usa and can handle ridiculous amounts of power..
