ok i am a newbie with car audio and im just wondering how big of an amp i would need. I have two 12" infinity kappa perfect subs...1400w peak power and 350w rms...4ohms...i was thinking of getting the rockford p6002 amp which is 1800w peak power...600w rms x1 @ 4ohms...im not sure if that is two much of not enough power or if it'll only connect to 1 sub since it only says x1 i dunno guys help me out here i have subs just sitting in my trunk waiting and begging me to get an amp so they knock crazy hard to their full potential =P thanks a lot for all ur help guys...

best bet is to get a mono amp that is stable at 2 ohms and is about 700 watts or if it's more just turn the gain down. that'll let you power both subs with that one chan.

two 4 Ohm subs in parallel = a 2 Ohm load. Therefor if you get an amp which is rated to work with a 2 ohm load, you can just put both subs on the single channel. in parallel of course.
