Help - Broken male RCA tip in female plug!
One of my audio cables broke the tip off in the RCA on my amp. The broken part starts about 1/8" from the surface and I can't find a way to get it out.
Does anyone know of anything that I can try?
Thanks,
ed.

sharp pointed tweezers? Best way though is probably going to be take the cover off the amp and push it out from the back, will prevent damage to the rca plug from fussing with it.

Thanks JC. There is no room for tweezers, and next to no room for getting behind it. I may have to desolder the plug and take it out, but I don't want to mess with it (read: mess it up) that much.
Was hoping someone may know a trick or two for it.

Hmmm... its a thought, although I would risk getting glue inside the plug and never getting it out.

i was trying to post that before you did. had a fookin login problem!
You could try carefull drilling into the bit with a 1-1.5mm PCB drill then glue summit slim inside - like a paperclip.

if u push against it, is it firm? if so, carefullk drill into it with a tiny drill bit, then use half a matchstick with glue. that'll do it

Thanks for all the suggestions!
I think I will try to drill it first, then the glue to pull it out. Will post back if it works or I completely **** up my amp and need to buy a new one (or just never have sound to the front right speaker again!).
Cheers fellas.

one more idea..but could **** it....clean a soldering iron...heat the female part around the broken bit and have the amp on its end. then tap the conenctor. the connector bay expand and lose its grip slightly.
