Connecting PC to HU

Me being a noob and all I'm trying to figure some stuff out. One of my questions is, how do you connect your PC to your HeadUnit? I dont really want to connect directly to a 4 channel amp and a 1 channel amp for my sub, I would miss having a stand alone headunit too much. I'm looking into getting an Alpine headunit, but how in the world do you go from a mini stereo jack (or something else that you guys know about) to the headunit?

It wouldnt be a huge loss if I went away with a normal HU, but then another problem comes up. Would I just use my sound card and use the left/right stereo jack with a stereo jack to rca y cable to the 4 channel amp and then use the sub stereo jack with a stereo jack to rca cable to the sub amp? But the only way I can get my sub stereo jack to work is if the sound card is in either 4.1 or 6.1, would I just disregard then the other stereo jacks for the other speakers?

OMFG.

First, if you are such a Noob, and are asking a noob question, POST IN THE NOOB forum.

Second, read ALL of the FAQS, including this one http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...ghlight=stereo

Really, I have no problem with thenoobish question, or you being a noob, but post inthe appropriate place, though if you posted this in the noob section, I would have been nicer and just pointed you to the FAQ.

Alright so that link showed how to set up one amp with all the speakers on that amp and a 5.1 set up with two amps. How would I go about setting up a 4.1, I dont want the center speaker. The output on most sound cards for the sub is combined with the center speaker. Is there a way to send out a stereo jack signal in stereo to two RCAs with only the sub frequencies? I know with my current sound card I can isolate it so it only sends out the sub frequencies but does so in mono, is there a wire trick I can do to make that stereo and then use the Y cable for stereo jack to RCAs?

Apparently I'm not as much a noob as I though because I had pretty much answered my own question as that link showed.
First off, sorry, but I though this pertained more so to Audio than to noobness so I posted in this section.
Second off, take your own advice "Calm Down Or Get A 2 Week Vacation." It was only a question, it didnt hurt anyone, and if it was that big of a deal you really didnt have to waste your time and respond to it. But thank you for the link.

Alright, I think I've figured it out myself once again. I went out and tested my sub amp, apparently you can use an amp with only one rca, I didnt want to test how loud it can go with only one rca because my truck was off, but it did work. Even so, I never really though about the crossover on the amp, so I could if I wanted to just use the center/sub stereo jack combined to the amp without worries with the crossover properly set.
