Angry 2002 Nissan Altima Aux In

Ok.....

I know this is an extremely specific question, but here goes...

I am trying to hardwire an aux input into the back of my 2002 nissan altima's bose HU. On all the sites I've been to, they sell devices that convert a din connector on the back of the HU to RCA inputs. They say that this will work with any 2002 altima w/ or w/out the bose HU.

The problem is: my HU doesn't have that din connector! I have no idea why, but it doesn't. Perhaps the HU was replaced before I bought it with a 2003 or later model? I dunno what the deal is, but its not there.

Here are the products I've seen so far:
http://www.virtualo.net/index.asp?Pa...PROD&ProdID=57
http://www.activetuning.com/products...source=froogle

Anyways, I'm looking for other suggestions on how I might hardwire in an aux connection. I'd perfer not to have to buy a new amp, HU, and all new speakers (seeing as how in the bose system, each speaker has its own amp and i wouldnt be able to just wire them up to a new amp). And I dont really have enough enough money to add all of that onto the price of putting in my new carputer

I'm open to all suggestions.

Thanks!

Usually Nissan has 12 pin connectors. Those 8 pin are very old and rare now. And the biggest downside for those cable that they require extra button mpounted somewhere and some hacking. Not sure it worth to pay $60 for just a cable which can be done for $1...

so is that something that would run inline?
or would you have to replace the 12 pin connector thats there already?

You could do what I did: Hack the CD player of the HU so that way you have a aux in.

alti has a spectacular aura aboutalti has a spectacular aura aboutalti has a spectacular aura about
not all 02' altimas had the aux in, I believe it was only on the earlier production ones. Mine had one and it built in sept of 01 i believe. (non-bose)

anyway good luck , I can understand not wanting to rip out an entire bose system. Maybe open the deck up and look for solder point on the board where the connector would have connected and add it? something like thanatos did? (nice job BTW, thanatos)

ok....short of sodering....which would be my last resort....

what do you guys think of wired FM modulators?

or is there anything that you can run into your antenna input that would allow RCA inputs....i hardly ever listen to the radio, so i wouldnt mind losing that.
