Idiots guide to car audio set-up
Hi, i am new to the car world, turned 17 in febuary been driving since and recently got fed up with my factory audio system. I enjoy music, iv spent a fair amount on my hi-fi at home and i have done the same for my car.
I havn't got the components yet they are still in the post, but it shouldn't be too long.
Now here is my problem, i found installing hifi components easy, wiring computer stuff easy, but car stuff? i wasn't sure what to expect.
i had a look at guides, even some already made on this forum, and i simply havn't got a clue what it all means.
I have only got fairly simple stuff at the moment, i ordered a headunit SONY CDX GT300 and some INFINITY 9613i, 6x9 speakers.
Now i got this far : when i took out the old factory fitted radio/cassette player i found that the connectors at the back were different to that of a cd player, so i went and got myself an adaptor for my car.
i also got a stealth shelf, heard they were pretty handy.
Now i need your help, i don't know what to expect and i'd rather not break everything by short circuit-ing it all.
If you could provide me with even the simplest of information, i'd really be gratefull.
