Audigy 2 NX and hibernation

I just got my USB Audigy 2 NX to work with hibernation. I know a lot of people struggle with the Audigy and here is what I did to make it work, so maybe this is working for you as well, if not then bad luck...

The story:

When I got the Audigy some time back I installed the audiy drivers from the CD, and I got the MAX Master volume problem as all other with this USB device. At this stage I also manged to hibernate without any problems as far as I could remember (did not really pay attention because of 2 months with 800x480 resolution LCD problems...)

Fixed my LCD problem and I upgraded to the latest Audigy driver (Feb 05), Master volume was fixed (w firmware update). But now hibernation did not work. Winamp would crash because USB Audigy was not detected after hibernation. Also noticed when powering the Audigy during hibernation it worked fine after resume as several had experienced.

I then removed the drivers/software and re-installed drivers from CD, back to the first version. Now the sound was was just some strange noice, probably because firmware was still the latest and software driver really old (?!). So it was just crap....

Now I download the the (23 Dec 03) driver from soundblaster.com (not the latest one). Not sure if this was the same as on my CD, anyway after I installed this version, sound was good, hibernation worked and Master volume was in the same position as before hibernation.

I did not reinstall the latest version of the driver, because it was now working for me. So I'm currently running with the latest firmware (Feb 05) and sofware driver (23 Dec 03).

Good luck!

Good post. I had the same type of issue the griffin powermate and radioshark. Ended up having to go back to previous drivers to get it to work right with other apps and sleep mode.
