Automatic Eq change?

Anyone know a player/software/pluging that not only saves a customed EQ setting for a some, but also changes the EQ to a predetermined on as it changes genre? I mean, its kinda sucky to have the heavy bass of Swtich Remix of WIll SMith and Elephant Man followed by an acapella version of Beauitufl Dya by U2...kinda needs a new EQ setting. Hate to have to do that for every song. NAy ideas?

no no, not the car's EQ, the computer's EQ. Car EQ is to be set to flatten the car, the computer EQ is what i need adjusted per song. Sometimes i just want more bass in some songs than others. Sometimes i want the highs accented.

You can easily do that in Road Runner, I believe auto load EQ presets is listed in skincommands.txt. I did it myself for quite some time, although now I'm using a VST EQ plugin. I know exactly what you mean about needing to adjust bass between certain albums. Right now I'm back to using the bass and treble controls on my DSP, which are too broad in their effect. But it's worth the inconvenience for kernel streaming.

i mean like, you have rip hip hop genra, its gets a specific eq setting. THen orchestral/vocal, it gets an eq setting then, then rock, then techno...

And then if there are song specifi eq's, they have a preset setting. Basically, by defaut, all songs have a base EQ setting based on genre and then if i want to tweak the songs a bit more, they get the tweaked settings.

You can have a custom preset for every single song if you want, that will load when the song loads, and songs you don't have custom presets for will use whatever standard preset you have your EQ on by default.
