A very important thing you forgot to mention was your price range!

By looking at what Vinster posted that would sound nice, but cost a lot!

heh - yeah - price is important

else, I'll recomend the Audison Thesis amps and the Focal Beryllium No 7 kit...or the Focal Dual monitor amps once they come out

btw - you do know that this is one of the more pointless threads known to man, right?

opponions are like *** holes....

With what you said if you want to include a sub look to spend around $800 - $1500 on everything!

If that sounds like a lot I'm including things you will need like power wires, speaker wire, new battery ect.

Granted I've been in and around car stereos for a while now my current system ran me about $2500 - $3000 before the Carputer!

Also depending on how much power you to run to the speakers and sub if you should want one do a search for the BIG 3!

It should be recommended to everyone because once you get into car stereo you always are going to want something more powerful!

well, if he said that the audison and Focal stuff is within his price range, telling him that 1500 is what he will spend is completely off base...lol

bragging about your system costing 3k isn't anything special either d00d

the big 3 is a must on an upgrade

3d Warrior - can you tell us a bit more about what you are wanting in your system?

While the VRx amplifiers are bad ***, if you aren't wanting to spend that much money but still want incredible sound, I'd recomend the LRx amplifiers. Smaller and less expensive, they might be a better option for you.

Give us more of an idea of what you are going after and we can help more.

I was never comparing the price range I stated to any brand!

Just using it as an example for him!

I was also never bragging about how much my system cost I was just using it as an example of how much car stereos can cost.

If he is a true newbie to car stereos then he will need this information because he doesn't know how much things cost.

When I first started I had no idea how much stereos cost so I had to go the Pyramid route for the bulk of my system.

We all have to start somewhere.

I've heard that rainbow setup once, sounded like utter ****e, but I'm 99% certain they were set up very badly or there was something seriously wrong with how they were wired. Many people say they're the best of the best, so I'm sure they'd be amazing when installed correctly.

with no crossovers included, you have to run it all active, all active 4 way setups are a full-time job to setup correctly, not to mention the $10K of extra gear you're gonna need to run them properly.

Here's a link to wiring your stereo! I's under FAQ>INSTALLATION ISSUES.

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/faq-emporium/32430-how-get-sound-pc-car-stereo-amp.html

Also what year is you civic? Because here's another good link that will tell what size speakers fit in your car.
