M-Audio Audiophile USB

This is the start of my review of this, I just bought this yesterday in order to cure my carpc's severe noise problems, in attempt to get back into sound quality competition. So I thought it was worth the investment. These Audiophile USB's are MSRP at $250, but ive found them for as low as $130 but their on back order for months and M-Audio has no plans of fixing that as of now. So good luck trying to order one of these and see it in the near future, I had to resort to buying mine of of Ebay just to get it here within a reasonable amount of time.

On to the pictures :

I'll post tests as soon as I get it in the next day or two, i'll actually be competing with it on this comming sunday

Are you certain the actual device is bad and not just the drivers?

Now you see why I have a DAC. No drivers needed!

yes the drivers installed ok, it was just that the output on the unit was extremely low. So i'll probably send it back to M-Audio (even though I bought it used on ebay)....cause im sure the scammer on eaby wont own up to a bad sell.

hmmm...i kinda wish you didn't take it apart like that, i would have bought it. Did you test it with a regular HT or computer system? It maybe something that you can solve? I dunno, you know more than me and i'm just being hopeful...
