Question No sound From Sondcard or MB

MB/ EPIA M1000 SoundCard Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Hardware

Problem: No sound coming from the SC at all exept for a very low distortion that barely moves the speakers!

Tried solutions: Ran Creative Diagnostics; Says the card is good, but no sound.

Switch through all different speaker settings ex. 2.1,4.1, & 5.1 . Nothing
Adjusted all volume tabs to max? Nothing. One thing I did notice is that when I g into the Control panel; Audio devices and trying to adjust volume there and bring volume back to the bottom coner of the desktop top but it keeps telling me some type of error and the I have to go to the Add hardware? anyway

I have tried all types of things and nothing works. Any suggestions
Stupid sound card

what are you plugging into the sound card to see if you are getting sound? your car stereo or a set of head phones or what?

can you try the SC in your home computer?

can you try deleting the drivers, turning the computer off, remove the card, reboot, shut down, reinstall card, let XP find drivers again, etc.

all the typical pain in the *** troubleshooting steps.

You can check if you have a device conflict go to (control panel/system/hardware/and device manager). that should give you some feed back if your sound card is working o.k. You can also go to (sound and audio devices/hardware/and trouble shoot).
