FM Radio Antenna Help
I just installed a Pioneer Avic-D1 into my Subaru Impreza.
Since then i have lost 2 FM channels and my other usually stron channels flicker as if they are about to die.
is there something i can add to the receiver to make my Radio signals stronger. it used to work perfectly with my stock radio, i dont understand how it decreases once i upgrade my system.
Anyone have an idea of what i can do?
Thanks

There are antenna amplifiers available that should help your reception.
Check at a car stereo shop, either locally or online.

did you purchase an antenna adapter?
nearly EVERY aftermarket radio requires an antenna adapter to adapt the stock antenna to the aftermarket radio.

did a bit of research and your vehicle does not need one
did the stock antenna just plug right into the unit? do you remember?
I will not do the searching for you and hand you the link on a silver platter however. That you need to do on your own.

wtf?
now you are begging to be spoon fed?
I did a bit of my own research by contacting my own people.
I went out of my way for you in that bit, and now you're practically begging me to hand you all of the information you need on a platter?
I already answered that part of the question for you!

Newer Subarus require that you connect the blue wire in the harness to turn on the factory antenna amplifier. Connect this and your problems should be solved.

Antenna amplifiers amplify everything, even noise. I'd advise against them.
The Subaru does use a digitally amplified antenna and Legarguy is right. You've gotta hook up the power antenna wire to it.
