sound deadening foam

does the foam work better then like dynomat?
by foam i mean like the grey foam mats that are pyramids and what not??

because i use some dynomat and it didnt help too much.
and i got alot of space to fill so i was wondering if the foam would work better then dynomat.

Foam and mat/liquid are two very different things.

A closed cell foam acts as a sound barrier, actually trapping the higher frequency sounds...gets rid of road/wind noise and upper exhaust drone.

What the mat/liquid products do is to lower the resonance of the panels by adding mass to them. Helps kill rattles from bass and get rid of any buzzing in panels.

Best way to deaden, combine the two.

Mass loading followed by a sound absorption layer = best way to quite a car completely.
