Which sub to choose?

I am stuck between the eclipse titanium 12" or the

Alpine Type R 12 http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-ALPINE-TYPE-...QQcmdZViewItem

my sub amp is the Infinity 611a

Sealed or ported doesnt matter, But the two things that hurt me is Space limitations and Amp capabilities? I want tight bass and clean sounds. I listen to almost all music known to man help with my decision.

Personally, I'd go with the Type R because it's drastically cheaper than the Eclipse. They're both really deep mounting speakers and the Eclipse is probably more effecient.

That Eclipse sub is VERY powerhungry too and you don't have enough to make it happy, another reason I'd get the Alpine.

Are you going to build your own box or buy one?

ditto Shadow

that Ti sub needs a LOT of power, and for the money you spend on it, there's more out there that I would look at first.

unless you're all about the look more than the functionality.

I am going to make the box myself with a friend of mine. What thinckness of MDF do you reccomend? Also would the Type R be able to last that specific amp with the amp fully turn up going from rap to techne to rock all day long? I blew my infinity 10 DVC recently and I dont want to make the same mistake again. Thanks for the advice

3/4" MDF at least

if you tune it properly, you will never blow it, even if it's on an extremely powerful amp.

I suggest you follow this how-to when you get everything installed: http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Tutor...plifier_Tuning
