Pc to amp question

how will the sound volume and quaity be with a sound blaster audigy ZS usb sound card, vs having a headunit and using the aux in. Is it worth removing the hu and doing a headless install?

I am converting to a double din lcd install and either need to remove the HU or i could relocate to the bottom of the center of the dash and remove my ash try/cig plug, but I rather not mess with that. Is the software EQ enough to match or be better than having a HU?

Maybe its the NX, i have to check. Read another post it comes out of hibernation just fine. I use a inverter to power it for now till i wiring it to the psu.

Well don't mess too much with the software equalizer, if you want, get an equalizer, and plug the computer into that, then that into the amps, that would work out nicely. Also what head unit you have?

I have a kenwood exclearion however you spell it. Its from like 2000-2001, pretty nice unit, getting wore out though. But i use it mainly just for sirius. I have the stuff for the pc to control sirius though.

Simple is better but the USB soundcard can be a real pain in the ***. I use the SB Xfi and I love it. No head unit here.

Cool, i dont mind it being a pita. I am just concerned about the bass levels and such not hitting as hard as it hits now.

how is a usb more of a pain then pci?
