that's what I've done, not sure about your current set-up but you might notice a difference, especially on CDs.

How does it sound much better then without i take it? Mayby i can just wait till i can get the alpine. How does it compare with the standard hu/amp setup?

all depends on your set-up, and how you have it installed and tuned. If I were to tell you one way or the other it wouldn't be completely truthful.

True. Well i had a kenwood excleron hu from liek 2001 and a RF 4 channel amp bridged to 2 sony 10's. And for the speakers its using the stock 300+watt amp with the infinity ref stop speakers
probably couldn't tell unless you heard it, but its was good with pretty good bass

no offense, but I'll just lay it out on th table.
The alpine unit is MUCH nicer than the system you have.
The clarion would be a good match with your set-up.
