how big of a trunk do you have? why dont you dump the audiobahn and make a horn enclosure?

have the audiobahn firing towards the back of the seats and the jl firing towards the rear bumper. the audiohahn is just going to muddy up the bass from the jl...so you'll have more spl but probably lose sq. is that a compromise you're willing to take?

Don't go with two different subs... thats just wierd...

Tell us what you have (model number of the subs, or the actual parameters if you have them), and what you already ran, and what type of music you like, and what you want (obviously spl, but just checking).

Maybe if you don't really give a crap, build a down-firing box. I've never done it, or seen it for that matter, just heard about it. Mostly in home theater applications. Dunno if that would sound good or not, but at least it'll hide the fact you're firing 2 different ones.

Tidder,

Can link some info about a "down firing" box. Not so sure follow what is going on with that.

two things:

a) if he's asking for us to give him ideas for a box design, he is WAAAAAY too much of a rookie to make a proper horn/quarter-wavelength/>4th-order-bandpass box.

b) horns are massive, which would be why they are used at home instead...not to mention their tendency to resonate lower, which would not be useful in a car where the resonant freq is somewhere between 55 and 80hz.

i recommend ditching the audiobahn. if absolutely determined to use both, you *could* try an isobaric enclosure, but that would still be quite difficult, not to mention hard to design properly. make sure to wire one of the subs backwards if you do tho...

ok...picture a sub box where the subs are facing the sky. flip it over....thats what he meant (but be sure to put some spacers so the woofer cone doesn't hit the bottom of the trunk)
