How make pc work with Car radio

Ok I have a head unit that has aux but its been taken up by xm sat radio. Now my question is how do i get my pc to use my car audio so i can hear my music and so on? like how youl I set it up and blah blah. I know the easiest way is to get a 2 aux head unit right but is there another way? Thanks

have your car pc control the xm radio and connect the pc to the aux input. no need for two inputs that way

ok but how would i make the sat work with my pc. Do i buy a sound card that has rca input and out and have the xm go to the input and the output tot he aux of the head unit?

also... i suggest you start here if you are going to build a car pc:

i wont expect another question from you for a couple days (you have lots of reading my friend) good luck and welcome to the forum...once you get your car pc up and running you won't ever go back to a regular head unit. unless you do..then i will be a liar.

Just to give you another idea, I went the other way around. I have my radio go into the Line In on my carpc and then fed the carpc to the amps.

os but how do you control your xm and how do you substitute a head unit with a car pc?

you have to consider fm stations and xm display thats on the head unit that shows artist name and what not. Ok I am off to reading.
