I changed my entire system as it is. Running 1/0 gauge to a 135 amp circuit breaker from stinger, to a distribution block which has 3- 4 gauge outputs which will be going to 1 ED mono am, 1 ED 2 channel and possibly another ED 2 channel if there comes a need for it.
If I still have problems, then I plan to upgrade the alternator.

You DO realize the price of 3 1farad capacitors = the price of a yellow top. And you can relocate the yellow top directly into the trunk if you'd like....oh, and 3 4ga links is bigger than a single 0/1 gauge link...

yup! yellow top is on order! ... and i think you might be right about the 3 4awg's .. i dont plan on re-running them, not unless i run into more problems after the "big 3" a battery upgrade, AND an alternator upgrade.

The 1/0 can carry almost 3 times the current of a single 4AWG wire. What are you trying to say? The volume of the three cables is higher than a single 1/0?

wouldnt 3 4awg wires be able to carry the same amount of [or just a LITTLE bit more] current as a single 1/0? ::scratches head::

considering 1/0 usually has about 1600 strands and 4 has about 400.
though the current carrying capacity of 3 4gua wires may be more than a single 1/0 cable. You'll still have to buy a distro block and fusing for all 3 of theose 4 gua wires, compared to a single for the one 1/0 wire.

nope - it used to be posted on the stinger site...there's an accepted amount per gauge.
also, keep in mind that a big bundle of 1/0 can't dissipate heat as easily as smaller wire.
there's also capacitance and inductance issues as well.

good point red G! using either 1/0 or three 4awg i've got enough juice movin' to the back to power my amps.
is there a problem if i put a block on the end of my 4awg that leads to my component amp, then run 4awg out of it and into my amp, and something much smaller into my car pc? or should i just run another +wire back

it all depends on how much current the amp draws and the computer.
