before you go and order a capacitor, why don't you read the thread right above yours to see why you shouldn't waste your money on a capacitor?

yes, one thing though, if you are even remotely considering competing, you will need to seal the battery off and vent it to the outside if it's in your trunk.

If you're not considering it, have at it! and good luck!

Red, GMs have a TON of venting in the trunk. There's two near the rear bumper and one on each door. If he gets gel cell batteries he'll be cool. Hell, if he gets normal lead/acid batteries, he'll be cool. He won't be thrashing those batteries enough to create a ton of gas. Now, if he's competing IASCA or USACi, he damn well better

no - like I said, if he's considering COMPETING. If so, it doesn't matter how many vents are in the cab, trunk, hatch, etc. You MUST seal the battery off from the internal air space in the cabin. And you MUST vent it to the outside air. Period, end of story. It doesn't matter how much the cabin is vented. The only way around it is if you only use the one battery under the hood. That's why I precisely asked if he was going to be competing.
