NEED AUX IN/PINOUT on my radio! HELP!!

Hello! I just yanked my radio/cd out of my 04 Mitsubishi Lancer. I want to start building a carputer, but need to start with the HU and try to get an AUX in.
This is a single DIN, Model number MN141489 made by Matsu****a. The front has a number P301 on it. The back has a connector that was plugged in, but there is also a DIN jack that was not being used.
Is this something that I could use for AUX in?
Any ideas?

I did a quick google , and theres mostly ebay links to this head unit.

You have 4 or more options :

1: Open the head unit , you might see what each pin do ( they sometimes write it on the pcb).

2. Buy a cd-changer and hack it.

3. Buy a new head unit with aux in ( its not expensive, will look better , will sound better )

4. If your intent is to put a carpc , ditch the head unit , go pc - amp.

You can also ditch the am or fm or cd , by cutting the traces going to the preamp. Solder wires ; have a gettho aux in.

i'd agree with either of these, that headunit is

personally, i'd just lose the headunit all together, waste of space/power

I think I found you a pinout for that connector.

http://carstereohelp.net/wireharness_Mitsubishi3.htm

I found it in this thread on the mitsubishi forums.

http://www.mitsubishi-forums.com/t15...-head-unit.htm

I know that some Subaru's also use panasonic (matsu****a) factory headunits. On some of those cars the audio pins in the 13 pin connector are always passed through to the speakers. That is, whatever signal you put on those audio pins (left, right, ground) will be heard along with whatever else you are listening to (radio, cd). The solution for these decks is to play a "silent cd" while using this input.

I'm not at all sure if you are in this situation, but it's something to try. Personally I would probably open it up too, and see if there are any clues inside.

Good Luck.
