Power from Headunit?

So i got my carputer assembled...pics will be up shortly. I had a question about the back of the headunit. Basically, i want to take my headunit out (stock 96 lexus naki system) and put the touchscreen there. But before i do that i thought about the sound. When we flip the headunit over, do we have different outputs for each speaker? I want to try and get around trying to power the speakers up from the amp, if they have seperate wires from the headunit, ill take them out and put them in the sound card, but wanted to ask if thats possible. Thanks!

unless your system has external amps for each speaker you are going to need some external amplification. your soundcard can not power speakers

yes, my system does have an amp, but its under the passenger seat (stock amp-they had to put it in a complicated place to make it harder for me ).

Here is the radio wiring diagram for a 1996 Lexus SC300 with the Nakamichi Stereo System.

1996LexusNakamichiSystem.pdf

It looks like all you need to do is connect to a couple wires in the radio connector in the dashboard and you're all set. You should be able to figure out which wires to connect by using the diagram.

I wasn't sure what model of Lexus you had. If it's not an SC300 then I can get you the right one, but they are probably the same anyway.

Peace.
