High pitch noice

Ok i have done everything i can place rca's as far away from the ower wire and so on. Well everytime I turn the car on i get a high pitch noice that goes as long with the gas pedal. the faster I rev the higher it gets. Any info on how to kill it. I tried those rca thing you put on the rca capble it seems it has a magnet or something. Please help its ok during the day but at night it bugs when i listen to the radio at soft levels.

you need to provide details of what your setup consists of, if we don't know what you have then it's hard to make suggestions about how to fix the issue.

First question regardless of setup though, is:
do you know what a ground loop is?

how did you ground your amps and computer psu?

ok as far as grounding goes. I grounded the amps to the metal where the shocks and bolt to in the rear. I sanded and drilled and used a washer. The car I have a a mitsu eclipse 1995. As far as set up goes I have 1 four channel amp and a mono sub amp. Brand is Ma Audio. The carpc should not matter I am using a laptop.

Does it make the noise when your laptop's running off of battery power?

This was my initial impression when you posted the laptop thing. I remember helping a fellow member with diagnosing a similar problem back in the day and it was in fact the way he was powering the laptop

ok but even when the laptop is not plugeed in the car makes that noice.

just to make sure it's not the problem of the laptop. can you hook up an ipod or discman or some audio device to the amps and see if it still makes the noise
