Blaupunkt RNS MFD ?questions?

hi everyone

it's the firt time i've been in this forum and congratulate the founders of this way to understand better caraudio.

My questions is, i have one BLAUKPUNKT RNS MFD in my VW GOLF with travel pilot. And my problem is if can i change the apperance of original skin to another here represented (forum)? And the other question is about the instalation of a new travel pilot software, what the way to install in a CD**, if can i put in that new instalation new skins?

**the instalation its made with boot cd? and what is the file to make this. because if i put the cd in a radio i dont receive any image (when i burn cd is a normal data record). Anyone can help me?

I also have/had a RNS MFD... It is the absolute crap.
It doesn't follow any industry standard there is - instead of using Windows CE (saving time and money!!!) the developed there own OS. As this isn't bad enough they also created their own CPU (!!!) (its signs BOSCH on top!) instead of using an x86 or PPC (like the Windows PDA's - saving time and money!!!))

So there are not any developer tools outside available for that piece of electronic crap. No documentation for the µC this means no alternative OS like the powerful alternative OS for the d-box (DVB2000, linux) for example.

So no documentation means we can't help you in any way. Several guys find out something about the bootlogo and the navi-voices:

Should I continue why it is crap (?):
- TMC
- MP3
- CD Changer
- ...

It looks nice in your dashboard because it is an OEM system thats a complete collection of its advantages !

May be we can ask them what kind of ***** they smoke - must be cool that stuff !
And they have a proper source

! The Blaupunkt Travelpilot Lucca is NOT a Windows based PDA (with a craddle with speedsignal input and a gyro which would be a superseller this PDA would also work in a tunnel) you might think if you see it.
