If you decide to go with CDT Audio, I know someone who can get you dealer prices.
I have the (or will so have) the CDT HD-62's. They are proably the most impressive speakers I've ever heard. Granted, I'm only 18 and haven't competed (yet), I've gone to some high-end shops and head plenty of setups, and very few come close, and none come close price wise.

Rainbow speakers are next to impossible to find in the states, this is true.
At one time I was sponsored by Arc Audio/Rainbow. ( Link to stuff on their website) I don't remember the specific model that I ran, it was about 2 years ago, and we didn't run them very long.
At one point they had a web site that was the only authorized online retailer. That site failed for whatever reason. Since then, they seemed to have faded from the scene quite a bit over here in the states.
I'm with the others. I'd look into other brands, not only because you can find them easier, but because if you had a problem, I'd imagine it would be easier to get the problem resolved.

ok so not rainbows (too bad lol i liked the ones i was looking at too lol oh well), so then its between Focal Polyglass 165 V2S, Diamond Audio S600a/c, Boston Acoustics Pro60, and Eclipse SC8365.
any reccomendations from that list? I like the Focals probabally the best, but have heard/read that they have kinda shrill tweeters (same goes with the DA S600's). The BA pro 60's are another speaker ive read/heard alot of good things about, but was wondering what ppl here thought of them. Finally the Eclipse i threw in there b/c i like the way they sound (but would prefer one of the other 3 brands), but eclipse isnt one of the btr comp makers (they arnt bad, but not quite as good as some other brands overall, but they do make good HU's lol).

sorry not to thread jack or anything...
BD,
Go to www.caraudio.com and look in the speakers forum and find posts by 6spdcoupe, his name's Don and he's an authorized dealer for the Rainbows. the SLCs are $230 shipped, and if you wanna step up to the Germs line $450 shipped. I was considering the Germs but I do have to stick to a budget, so looks like the SLC 265s it is....For another suggestion, if you like the Dynaudio sound, how about the Seas Lotus Performance components?
check out these threads with pics:

hmm well i thought i had it down to 2 diff comps. The Focal Polyglass 165V2, or the CDT HD-62/M6 sets. Then this thread was brought back lol, and so now i gotta talk to 6spdcoupe, but either the SLC 365's or CS 265.25's.
The problem is that I only have a Focal dealer near me so I cant listen to the Rainbows, or CDT's. As near as I can tell the CDT's have the most midbass, the Focal's have the more dynamic range, and the Rainbow's are kinda in between the 2. Please correct me if im wrong, and if you have actually heard any of these feel free to give your thoughts on them as an actual speaker comp set.
I have not bought anything yet, i have decided on the Pioneer DEH-P980BT deck. As for amps I do not have any, so they will be based on the comp's i end up with.

The site your referring to was Rainarc.com it was brought down due to Arc no longer distributing for Rainbow.
Theres no problems getting warranty service/replacements here in the states.

Who is currently distributing them then?
And what speakers did Arc pick up?

so ive decided on the CDT ES-620's which are $325 shipped ($700 retail) BNIB hehe, and while i do love the Focal 165V2's i think the CDT will work better for me (however im thinkin thurs i might head up to my Focal dealer pop in a cd i made just for listening to speakers and see weather i like em or not), but just to make sure gonna go listen to the Focal's and see if they are too sharp for me in the high end (they have a competition vehicle with the Focal K2P 3 ways which will sound different, but will work and the 165V2's are in a sound wall which i think i can figure out if the Focals are too sharp for my tastes)
any thoughts about the CDT or Focals?
