can't seem to send audio to my HU

RE: 1996 maxima gle bose system.

i have a bose headunit. link: http://www.cdplayerrepair.com/images/PN2083D.jpg

the problem is that it takes up 2 dins. i have 3 dins to work with. 2 that are taken up by the headunit and 1 that has a tray in it. i really want to be able to play audio from a carputer to my speakers. one option would be to buy a 1 din receiver with an aux in, but that's a little bit more money than i would like to spend. there is an aftermarket adaptor for a rca/cdchanger plug for the bose headunit, but once again, i'm going to be removing the headunit entirely for room for the lcd. is there some way to connect an audio source to the radio harnesses? there are these thing:

would they work? any other options?

You have amps in the doors, right? I'm sure you can get the harness and tap the wires you need. I would find out if they are low level or high level. Because the amps for the speakers are in the doors you may be able to tap am RCA directly into the harness.

I would research this on a Nissan site before doing anything.
