Quick amp Q.

Some one told me that amps need a study airflow over them... now i seen so many installs where amp is like inside of the casing of some sort...
The reason i am asking is that i was thinking laying it down in the place where my speare tiere is cause there is a ton of space that's not used and i don't even need to move my tire away anywere and lay like a placy glass over it with nice finishes and all that ...
should i worry about heat? or what?
Thanks!

if it's going to be totally enclosed then you would want at least one fan and an 'exhaust port' (aka hole) to keep air circulating
