There's another saying: You can't polish a turd but you can chrome it.

EDIT: Hey shadow, if you're so sure, do it. Make sure to get a friend to video tape it.

Then why can I grab the + and - terminals of a battery and nothing happens. If your arm is sweaty then there is something to conduct but if you stick a + lead on your tongue and touch the chassis I would think you would be fine as long as your not covered in sweat or drenched in water. Still not going to try it though

within that lies the problem, grabbing both terminal is introducing two point of resistance, IE your hand on the positive is point 1, and your other hand on the negative is the other. Sticking either a ground or positive cable in your mouth (damn that sound silly when i read it) reduces the resistance in one of those points, making the other more capable of transferring current with a higher resistance.

... class dismissed, homework including self experiment with documentation and video feed on youtube due tmm morning on my desk.

::EDIT:: but on a serious note, if you want to use truck boxes, your biggest means of making them work is having them thin, but extending left and right of the sub enough to reach your required enclosure space for that sub. That may or may not mean dropping down to a single 12"... depends on how much space you have in the cab behind your seats, and how much space the sub needs to breathe.

After all that is in check, if it still doesn't sound good, do like others have said and make sure things are in phase (positive to positive, negative to negative... unless your bridged, then follow what your amp's guide says should be used as the positive and negative in bridged mode). Also make sure your driving them with matched ohms (aka if thier dual 4 ohm voice coils, and you have them connected in parrallel, make sure your amp is capable of putting out 2ohm on the channel that sub is connected to) And no you cannot bridge the amp and connect both subs @ 2ohm to the same set of terminals and suceed to get 2 ohm on the amp and sub side... ive seen that so many times. If you connect both subs to the same terminals and their already at 2 ohms, youve sucessfully made a 1 ohm load... something that only few amps will run at stable. If you want to do this, you either need to do one of three things: Either get a 1ohm stable amp (expensive), get an amp that has 2 channels that can be drive @ 2ohm stable, or wire your coils in series (positive to negative between the coils, then connect the remaining terminals to the amp) and the subs in parallel to get a 4ohm load for the amp, which quite a few amps can run bridged.

If all that fails to help, how about posting up your amp that your using, mabye we can help fidn you something of better quality that will suit your needs.

I just wanted to say... you can chrome a turd, and yes, it's still a turd. BUT now you're the only one in the world with a chromed out turd.

And that's worth something.

Have you personally tried this? Is that why you can't use punctuation anymore?

its called an example you know when you try to relate two different subjects so one understands what you are talking about it just states that it will be easier for something to breath in a larger open area you know small bag=small box large bag=large box but now if it were you id recommend a zip lock baggie and duct tape the $#@& out of it was there enough punctuation there for ya??????????

ok, enough trashing the cheap stuff, my customers love it, and i hate it for warranty issues. lol

but lets be real there are only a few companies out there that design, make and lay thier own circuits in their amps, same with sub cones, then they sell them to other companies and they put it in thier case.

kinda like puttin a turd in a chrome box.

some make modifacations to the board.
