Well I got them all wired up and despite my lack of knowledge I'm very happy with how everything turned out. The subs sound amazing (wel at least for my standards) and I couldn't be happier... well I could if the amp was paired up better with the subs.... but for my circumstances I'm very very happy. The bass is awesome and it rattles my trunk like none other.

Thanks everyone for putting up with another random "newbie" and all my questions. I'm used to being the one sitting on the forum reading all the dumb questions but I guess my role has reversed. The way I look at is, you gotta start somewhere.
