That's what I was getting at. Your opinion isn't based on anything that's relevant to the OP.

This all depends on brand and enclosure.

To state that you like 10s really has no basis.

If you had said: I like X brand 10s over X or Y brand 12s or 15s. THEN it would have been a valid statement.

To make a blanket statement that a certian size sub is better then to not validate it, really holds no ground.

Another example.

We went with the 6.5" Be for the kicks in our car, because of their response.

However, because we are not able to get a full .7-.8 cu. ft. of air space for them, they don't work worth a damn for us.

If I stated that I liked 6.5" drivers for mid base more than any other size, and didn't give a validation, there's simply no point to giving an opinion.

Don't take it personal, please. It's just something I'm tired of seeing. People have opinions all day long, that will never change. However, to make those around aware that an opinion without validation is nothing more than talk is vital to improving the value of this forum.

FWIW, Just read a good review on the Boston Acoustics G112-44 in the latest PAS Mag.

I did not say 10s were better. I said I like them for SQ. Which is what he was asking. In another post I mentioned some brands but that isn't here nor there. My statement was based off his post that he had a low/entry level budget. Which IMO just supports the argument for a 10" even more.

People ask for opinions on forums all day long and when someone gives one that others disagree with they get jumped on. Just because I didn't say in my original post, "I like 10's because with entry level speakers you are going to get a tighter bass response" your going to tell me my opinions not valid

Telling him he can get a 15" that will give him the same response as a 10" may be a true statement but not on an entry level budget. Does that make your post invalid?

I'm not trying to argue. I'm just tired of getting jumped on for giving a simple opinion to someone who asked for one.
