My Sentra read discs just fine with the stock radio. The discs have to be finalized.

My suggestion is to burn slower. The problem that you are experiencing has to do with the sensitivity of the CD Laser in your stereo. Burning slower makes a "darker" and more distinguishable "mark" on the disc - making it easier to read. Slow it down and use good quality media (Verbatim, TDK, etc) and you will have a much better chance of success.

I usually burn at 8x, but I have had a cd player that would work with discs burned at 2x, but not with discs burned at 4x.

You can also try using a different CD-Burner. Some more expensive burners (Plextor, Pioneer) tend to work better, although any change in media or hardware could do the trick.

Good Luck.

Verbatim discs are usually regarded as being high quality. Also anything manufactured by Taiyo Yuden is good, but I would suggest trying a bunch of different kinds - get one disc from each of your friends and see which brand works best for you. That way you don't have to buy a package of each brand. Also, like I said, burn slower. I'd probably start at the slowest speed and see if that works.

Good Luck.

I used the cheapest store brand media possible and my Sentra read it all. I burned it at 16-40X
