Ok guys got a problem, I've got a car stereo and a headunit connected to one of those AV Switches, and the amp connected to the output like this :
Heres the problem, when I have both inputs connected to the switch, I get some background noise. When i disconnect one of the inputs (either one), the noise goes away.
This leads me to believe that its just a **** AV Switch (i bought it from jaycar).
I went to dicksmith and tried one of their better $40 AV Switches. The noise wasn't as bad as the jaycar one but it was still there and still the same issue (noise with both in, disconnect either input, noise goes away).
The DSE dude said perhaps the units are just crap and since they are manual switches they still make some form of contact and i'd need to get a remote switch or something.
Any ideas ?
The switch doesnt take any power or anything.
Its just got a rocker switch on the top and on the back it has 2 sets of rca inputs and 1 set of rca output.
